Quantum’s Got Talent – Feb 6, 2021 Fundraising Event for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

This year, despite of the difficulty brought by COVID-19, Quantum Academy held an online fundraising event for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation on February 6, 2021.

All proceeds from the event went to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, supporting the Orthopedics Department this year.

This is the first time we moved our fundraising event online, but we were glad to have our partners and judges join us during this time of uncertainty.

Without the support from our partners, staff, and students, we are unable to make this work!

Here, we would like to thank to our sponsors:

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

Academy of Modern Art

Angel Baby Club

Vancouver Academy of Music

We were also very honoured to have our special judges with us:

Minister of State for Child Care and MLA, the Hon. —– Katrina Chen

UBC Sauder Professor and the founder of CELPIP and CAEL exams —–  Dr. Donald Wehrung

Fairchild TV and FM 96.1 Radio show host —–   Ms. Carmen Shao

Senior Education Consultant —– Ms. Swan Zhao

UBC Undergraduate Admission Advisor —– Ms. Ellen Sin

It was an unforgettable night of laugher, prizes, and a chance to help children in need. The audience were amazed by the talent shows and drama performed by our students.

To help the Orthopedics department, students from Quantum and AOMA have created original, beautiful paintings specifically for our online auction. Thank you to our talented students, we have raised $2335 from the auction!!

The event was a huge success. We are glad that we reached our goal of $10,000 CAD. In total, we fundraised $10,363 CAD.

Quantum Academy will continue to collaborate with the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and strive to get more students and families to participate in the donation work of the Children’s Hospital. We look forward to the participation of more students and parents. It is our responsibility, and we are grateful that we are able to give back to the society and to help children in need!
