Quantum Newsletter - MARCH 2023
Dear Parents

As March comes to an end, I am excited to update you all on this month's events and opportunities. However, before I do so, I would like to congratulate all of Quantum's accomplished grade 12 students on their university acceptances! They have worked exceedingly hard to become top candidates and it is always fulfilling to see our students surpass boundaries, reach milestones, and become well-rounded, global citizens.

Below are just some of the events and opportunities that Quantum has had in the month of March. I would like to extend my gratitude to you all for your continuous support.

Sincerely,

Rosa Lenihan

University Acceptances

Many of our talented grade 12 students have been receiving offers from their top university choices! From American to Canadian schools, our students have become ideal candidates and we are glad to have been a part of their high school education. We are extremely proud of them as they have not only worked hard, but they have also grown tremendously throughout the years. Above are merely some of the schools that our students have been accepted into. The Quantum team wishes them luck in their future endeavours and we are certain that they will succeed in whichever avenue they choose to pursue.

2023/2024 Private School Application Seminar

A comprehensive review

As the 2022/2023 private school application season is coming to an end, Quantum's team and I wholeheartedly congratulate all of the families who have received offers from their dream schools. We also want to celebrate the applicants' success in starting a new journey in their academic careers!

When it comes to private school applications, especially for junior grades,  we know all too well that it can be a complicated, perplexing process. A plethora of questions ultimately arise, such as:
  • What qualities do private schools gravitate towards?
  • What kind of families become ideal candidates and thus, first choices in the eyes of admissions officers?
  • What do parents and students need to do to prepare?
  • What differentiates the families who received multiple (2-3) offers from those who did not?
  • Are there any unspoken strategies and tips when communicating with admissions officers?
Join us in our annual private school application seminar in which we answer all of the questions listed above and more!

Quantum Study Rooms
 An immersive study environment

From Monday to Thursday, 18:00 to 21:00, Quantum is offering guidance and support to students whenever they need. Students are free to ask questions to our on-call teachers regarding assignments and course material when they attend our study room sessions. By attending, not only will students be able to improve their grades and have a better understanding of their school curriculum, they will also be able to build strong study habits and increase their learning efficiency.

We encourage all students to study at our campus as the individual rooms not only make for an ideal study environment, the teachers are also eager to teach and filled with positivity!

SAT Intensive Prep Camp

This Spring break, Quantum created an intensive SAT camp in which students analyzed questions, practiced sample exams, and received valuable tips on how to succeed on the SAT exam. With the guidance of our teachers, our students were able to raise their original average of 600 to 800 within one week. Following their the intensive camp, we are sure that our students will continue to improve and grasp the ins and outs of the SAT exam.

Parenting Circle

March 8 Women's Day Event: The Art of Soap Making

Thanks to one of Quantum's lovely parents, Shirley, our parenting circle had a wonderful time learning the art of soap making and celebrating Women's Day. The handmade soaps crafted by these inspirational women were fragrant, beautiful, and full of love.

We also want to extend our gratitude to Rose, a mother from Oxford University, for sharing her parenting experience and journey in cultivating her two children in following in her footsteps and attending Oxford University. From the rebellion and conflict of adolescence to becoming a harmonious and cooperative team, we want to emphasize the utmost respect we have for all mothers. We believe that behind every brilliant student is a remarkable mother.

Quantum's Parenting Circle is a welcoming environment where parents can meet to discuss their parenting journey, learn from each other, and obtain up-to-date educational information. We have many more exciting events lined up so stay tuned!

Spring Camp

Building hardworking, eager learners

Quantum had an outstanding Spring Break with all of the students who signed up for Spring camps! From the Competitive Writer Camp to the All Day Fun Camp, students learned a variety of core skills and had a blast engaging with their classmates in class discussions.
