There are a number of contests open between October and November, and we highly recommend that our students enter a few of them. These competitions cover a variety of subjects, from math, to computer science, to creative writing. SDC "Once Upon A Shine" Gala
The SDC—or the Social Diversity for Children Foundation—is a government certified charity that Quantum has proudly supported for the past two years. Led by a passionate team of young volunteers, this foundation empowers children with disabilities through music, the Arts, and MPM math programs.
This year, on November 6th, the SDC is holding an annual gala to raise money for the next calendar year. Event tickets are on sale now, and all funding will go directly to SDC programs. With these funds, the SDC will be able to gain access to more resources and give more children and families the support they need. Regular tickets cost $288, while VIP tickets cost $488.

Attention parents and students—this is a reminder to consider early preparation for the Grade 12 Literacy Assessment, which is a province-wide graduation requirement. Students will be expected to be able to analyze texts and demonstrate their understanding by answering a series of questions.
