Spring Schedule

Our 2022 spring schedule is out! This year, we’re offering many different reading and writing classes for students in Pre-K all the way to Grade 12, along with our usual Exam Prep and MPM Math courses. Please take a look at the timetables below to ensure you are up to date with what’s going on this season. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to send us an email or give us a call at 604-279-6889.

Competition Seminar

Nowadays, when it comes to university applications, extracurriculars and activities hold just as much weight as grades and AP scores. Students who may not be involved in as many extracurriculars sometimes struggle with knowing what to put down for these sections, but don't worry—we’re here to help!

On Sunday, February 6th, at 7:00 PM, we will be hosting a seminar on the importance of joining the right competitions when applying to top universities. When admissions officers are looking at applications, often good contest results will catch their eye just as well as any other activity might. This seminar will mainly be discussing arts competitions, as we’ve already had many strong math students enter contests in the past, and we want to encourage more arts students to share their talents in a competitive setting as well.

At the seminar, there will be online consultation, a Q&A session, and visits from two guest speakers! First, we have Jonas Salzberg, who is one of our language teachers here at Quantum. His background in education is not only extensive, but also very diverse; he has experience teaching a range of courses, including English, specialty classes in multimedia, and electives in World News. Jonas will be going into depth about the various writing contests that are available for students to join.

Then, giving an overview of IHBB (the History Bee and Bowl—two international history competitions), we have Jay Wickliff. Jay is the director of Strategic Planning for International Academic Competitions. He serves on the Executive Committee, directs programs in Canada, Poland, and Puerto Rico, and designs games for the International History Olympiad and the International Geography Competition. He is also a History Bowl coach, and his teams have won a National Championship title.

If you are interested in attending this seminar, please use the button below to RSVP. Feel free to contact us as well if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
